My shower tray is leaking - what should I do?

Leaks usually occur where the tray meets the wall or waste fitting, rather than from the tray body itself. If you are experiencing leaks at the tray corners or base, damp flooring around the shower or persistent mould at tray junctions, the following steps will help to resolve the issue:

  1. Dry the area and identify where water appears — corners, wall junctions, or waste outlet.
  2. Check silicone joints; if mouldy or cracked, remove with a plastic scraper.
  3. Clean surfaces thoroughly and let dry to make inspection easier
  4. For waste leaks, remove and reseal the waste fitting using a new washer
  5. Wait 24 hours before using the shower.

Tip: If water appears beneath flooring or skirting, reseal and retest before reinstalling any panels. Reapply a continuous bead of sanitary-grade silicone along the outside edge of the tray.
